Our Minds, Our Voices
In spring/summer 2019, Oldham Youth Service was commissioned to conduct research into what emotional health and mental wellbeing looks like in Oldham’s schools. To ensure the youth voice was embedded in the research, a number of young people were trained on how to conduct and deliver a consultation. This group’s capacity and ability to build relationships with participants of the consultation helped enhance insights into the problems that young people face. These include insights on bullying, social media, school support, access to services, and physical and cultural environment.
Over 3000 young people participated in the survey. You can read the full report below, which also contains information about next steps.
